MUSIC

Erik makes music under his middle name Augustin in the singer/songwriter-tradition, drawing influences from Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Judee Sill, The Magnetic Fields, American Music Club, Bob Mould and Red House Painters, but also electronica acts like Boards of Canada and folk music guitarists like Ian Carr. Erik sings and plays guitar, piano/synth, double bass, bouzouki, melodica, percussion/drums and works with samples in software like Pro Tools and Reason. Augustin: S/t is a compilation of a few of the songs that Erik wrote and recorded between 2001-2005. Recorded in Falun and Stockholm, at home and at friends’ houses.

Sugar & Onions EP was recorded at Erik’s house in NOPA / Western Addition in San Francisco, in April and May of 2007. It was mastered by Jens Johansson at Ljudligan in Stockholm, Fall of 2007.
